Twinset, under the control of Carlyle, made a bold move by making its runway debut at Milan Fashion Week, marking a significant shift in strategy. CEO Alessandro Varisco emphasized the brand’s readiness to embrace this new direction after 35 years of existence.
The runway show, held at Frigoriferi Milanesi, showcased Twinset’s latest collection, featuring lace dresses paired with leather boots, matelassé velvet jackets, silk slip dresses in pastel hues, and lamé minidresses. Accessories played a prominent role, including feather sandals, classic biker boots, knitted bags, and leather buckets, along with small amulets of semi-precious stones specially designed for the occasion.
Varisco highlighted the brand’s growth trajectory, with plans to expand from 102 stores to 150 within five years, focusing on key markets like Italy, Russia, France, continental Europe, and the Middle East.
Russian supermodel Natasha Poly opened the show, while Valletta closed it, exuding confidence and grace on the runway. Among the attendees was Ella Bleu, daughter of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who captivated in a deconstructed gray suit and black lace top.
Notably absent from the show was Sienna Miller, the face of Twinset’s current campaign, photographed by Daniel Jackson against the backdrop of the London skyline.
